My artworks are visual poems inspired by nature, climatic events and the seasons. These are questions about the perception of events, memory, temporality, movement relationships, and the space occupied by dreams in daily life. I associate painting and photo to create metaphors and movements.

Born in 1973, in Franche-Comté, France. Jérome Pergolesi is a multidisciplinary artist, authors of poems and short stories. He currently lives in Strasbourg.
Graduated in graphic design at Ornan, he pursued a training course in Digital arts and at the Centers of video creation, then he passed a Licence in digital communication in Strasbourg.
Jerome Pergolesi approaches life as a cabinet of curiosities. His drawings or paintings, filled with a delicate and a lyrical tenuous, is suitable for a daydreaming where grace resides.
He likes to question the perception of the senses, the memory and the memories. In his works, where nature is omnipresented, each object is diverted, recomposed, like a visual poem.
He combines photography with painting and constructs hybrid landscapes where the abstract color the real, transcendent, gives it another light. The artist creates an iconographic image that questions the very meaning of landscapes and space. The nuances of the tones play with the information of the image and invite to the dream. The plastic expression, very graphic, fills the frame, overflows. The image blends into a decor, a digital composite and a dreamlike and personal universe.
